Robert Norman Ross was an American painter, television personality and art teacher. He is popularly known for his television program, The Joy of Painting which inspired millions of art lovers. Bob was born on 29 October 1942 in Florida. He was quickly enlisted in the United States Air Force at 18 and went on to become a master sergeant. During this time, he developed his love of painting.
